/ The Trustees

Alan Dennis

Chairman
City Councillor, Dip Teaching Adv

The diversity of the 400-plus organisations the ILT and ILT Foundation support annually leaves no aspect of lnvercargill life untouched. I'm incredibly proud of that.

As President of your Trust and Chairman of ILT Foundation, I have had the privilege of witnessing first-hand the positive impact in our community.

Research shows people feel a connection to their Trust more than ever before, fostered by a greater appreciation for the role it plays. From initiatives like Enrich@ILT, tertiary and trade scholarships, to the creation of community assets the calibre of Southland Stadium, we've been a key partner.  We work with the Community Trust of Southland and the Invercargill City Council to get projects to completion, which adds value to our city.

Reinvesting in our business portfolio remains a focus - hence we have a new Southland Tavern, a redeveloped Northern, an upgraded bar at the Kelvin, additional motel units at Ashford Motor Lodge in Christchurch and exciting plans underway for the Waikiwi. I believe the Trust is a true icon and it's my quest to leave it in an even stronger position for future generations.

Sean Bellew

By profession I am a Licensed Real Estate Agent and Auctioneer and hold a trainer’s license for thoroughbred race horses.

I am a typical southern man enjoying the outdoors with strong hunting interests, other board commitments include President of Southland Racing Club, board member of Gallop South, Racing Southland.

I am married to Becky and have a daughter Charlotte who recently made me a grandfather with granddaughter Isla.

Suzanne Prentice

I enjoyed six successful years on the ILT Board, three of those as Deputy President.

I have managed my own business in the entertainment industry successfully, both nationally and internationally for over 40 years. I have been married 38 years to Steve, have 2 children and 3 grandchildren.

I continue to work on projects and events throughout the city, the rebuilding of the Southland SPCA being just one of those. While there are always major projects happening in the city, I personally enjoy working for smaller groups and individuals ensuring they also have the same opportunity to achieve success.

Angela Newell

BA PG Dip TCHG, LTCL

It's a privilege to be elected to the ILT and I very much enjoy working alongside colleagues and staff in this dynamic and thriving business.   I'd like to think I bring a different perspective to the Board.

My interests and experience lie in the Arts, Events and Education. I've developed the Southland Arts Festival, Shakespeare in the Park and ILT Kidzone at Venture Southland. Prior to this, I was a teacher. However, I support any initiatives that provide community well-being, regardless of the sector.

Ensuring our twenty-five businesses continue to generate healthy profits and provide the city with quality hospitality outlets is vital. Distributing the profits equitably throughout the community is equally as important.
